The ADPL is an association that promotes intercultural exchange between students from different countries, international cooperation in the field of university sports, ecotourism development, and support of youth through sports whith respect of the environment and nature.
Polyliban has created a unique adventure that gives the Lebanese youth an opportunity to overcome their limits. Discover Lebanon, meet students from Switzerland and France (cultural discovery), and change their way of life to a green attitude.
The "Polyathlon of the Cedars - Polyliban" is an athletic and cultural event organized by the Association of the Polyliban (www.polyliban.org). Initiated in Switzerland under the initiative of Mr Bugnion, founder of the Association of the Polyathlon in Switzerland, it was introduced to the Lebanon in 2008 by M. Vincent Nassar. The event this year in 2009, unfolded for the second consecutive year in Lebanon, from October 24th to October 31st, under the High Patronage of the Commander in Chief of the Lebanese Army, General John Kahwagi.
From Byblos, to the top of Quornet Al Saouda at 3.088 meters altitude, an array of sports activities took place, from swimming, to rafting, to all sorts of racing... it was an event that thrilled all. Ninety two sports enthusiasts participated which included sixteen students of different nationalities : Swiss, French, Columbian, Canadian, Russian, Belgian, German and Lebanese.
